Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Just happened to bump into this place TWICE on my month in Malaga. And we loved it. Once for lunch, once for dinner. Both times great. Croquettas, Mejillones, Chorizo plancha were some of the fun things we had there. Service was great and very attentive and accommodating. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat."
"A nice surprise of this small cafe! We stayed in a nearby hotel and stopped by "twice" for a breakfast. Staffs were super friendly. There's a guy who can't speak English that much but he tried his best to service us. Churros with hot chocolate is yummy. My children were in fight to finish it... :) Lastly, it's cheap. One euro for a coffee. Can't describe anything more to recommend this place."
"Had a lovely meal. The house salad with walnuts and goats cheese is recommended as is the pork cheeks. I had rabbit which came with homemade chips. The Ribeira house wine was very nice. Lovely evening."
"I wandered in here for a light lunch. Service was prompt and my food was very good. The portion were generous. My server was very pleasant. So we're the other staff. Of course in this part of town it's a bit more expensive than outside the city center."
"This was the first bar we went in when we arrived in Málaga and I'm sure it'll become a favourite. The prices are good and the inside seating area has lots of character. The outdoor seating is in an interesting plaza and is a great place to watch the world go by. The tapas and drinks, including good wine, are delicious and the staff are so friendly. They speak English much better than my Spanish and the bar/restaurant is open all hours. An added bonus is that they show English Premier League Football games. Highly recommended"
"One waitress didn't know English but we were able to communicate. Seafood soup and fried anchoives were very delicious. I tried Clara first time and it was very good thanks to the lemonade in it."
"we didnt have any issue nor complaint about this place. right next to the kelipe flamenco center, our hierbabuena experience really stuck to the simple, humble, and non-whimsical. the food tasted great- we had pork and lamb skewers, and grilled chorizo. all dishes served were traditional as what should tapas must be. the service we had was fantastic. and the atmophere the place provided was unencumbered by unnecessary distractions- it was quiet and clam."
"Very good cod with vegetable diner. Pitty the fries were not home made, but good nonetheless. The cod was cooked to perfection. The courgette, paprika and union with tomato combination was so tasteful. We enjoyed the coffee, the lemoncake was not to our taste, but that could be personal preference. The staff were very friendly."
